PERSERVERANCE

To try and fail
and then prevail
A loss, a win
keep on that grin
To run and fall
laughed at by all
To show your face
as the loser of a race
To stand up tall
and hear your call
Someone, somewhere
wants you to be there
To share with them
a life of grim
But you refuse
there's nothing to lose
Get on with life
and work, and strife
For what you know
will help you grow
Into a better person
