INTERFAITH HARMONY
His god is Allah and mine is Ram Does that imply he means me harm??
Then why these misconceptions do we bear Why, this mask of prejudice do we wear??
So what if he has a different surname name He is a person still the same
So what if our faiths differ So what if its Jesus he prefers
Surely, he and I can still blend Surely, he can still be my friend
Surely there can still be harmony between us I don't see the need for any fuss.
Just because we are from different communities Doesn't mean there won't be serenity
Just because we are from different sects Doesn't mean we don't have mutual respect
Just because we don't share the same caste Doesn't mean our friendship won't last
In these dark times of struggle and war Interfaith Harmony is the need of the hour.
We have to take a pledge to overcome All barriers such as religion castes, racism
The race is long, the hurdles many But it has to be won, to promote harmony.
