BLISS

In my dreams

I take a lonely sojourn.

To the rolling hill, amongst the

forest of pine,

always I return.

Just to see you, as

You lie upon a bed of grass,

dressed in white.

Your eyes shimmering a

Thousand shades of twilight.

A single rose blooming

in the mist of shadows

of your hair.

The soft caress of the breeze

on your shoulders bare.

You are the well from which

I draw strength.

Your smile, a sprinkling

of stars to touch humanity.

Your voice my comfort, its

whisper soft, rekindles my sanity.

What is heaven, if not this?

 Your laughter my tonic,

In your arms my bliss.

Your breath warm,

it touches me, melts my heart.

Like the glowing warmth of embers in

My world of ashes.

Your mind the castle,

Its mysteries divine.

You are the poem.

The words alone are mine.

And I am lost.

Only to wish,

That I shall never again awake,

Into my world of lies.

That I could see your smile,

without having to close my eyes.
