WHY HAVE YOU?

I walk through highs and lows,
Yet somehow I never really learn,
I run so fast, only to hide,
Yet somehow I can't leave my past behind.
Why have you given me feet?

I lift such burdens of my own,
Yet fail to share those of an unknown,
I mould my dreams, shape them right,
Yet destroy those of others with my might.
Why have you given me hands?

I remember unfair things done to me,
Yet I forget my deeds so conveniently,
Always find a way to retrieve money,
Yet for a beggar, I haven't a penny.
Why have you given me brains?

The artificial perfumes allure me so,
Yet fragrant flowers don't touch my soul,
I smell my fears from huge distances,
Yet my ego hampers all my senses.
Why have you given me a nose?

I always notice each person's faults,
Yet I can't find one in myself at all,
A grain of sand bring me so much pain,
Yet shooting daggers is my true gain.
Why have you given me eyes?

For my right, I scream and bite,
Yet to guide someone, I shut tight,
Delicacies make me yearn all night,
Yet tasting blood is not a delight.
Why have you given me a mouth?

I wish to forever live king size,
Yet giggle at someone's demise,
My long lifespan is a major concern,
Yet it doesn't matter what I learn.
Why have you given me life?
