TO A MOTHER, WHO COULD NEVER BE

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

They told me you were with me once,
You were there when I first opened my eyes,
Since then you've been somewhere around,
Where exactly, I am yet to realize.

They say it wasn't that you didn't need me,
Nor it was that you did not love me,
It was just the tide of time,
And some other shit that I've never believed.

They say one day you'd be back,
And take me in your warm embrace,
I can either live this doomed life,
Or make it worse by looking forward to that day.

They say you're the one I can call mother,
Long back you left me in their care,
They explain only lucky few have their mother's love,
And how to others life is just isn't that fair.

No, I shall not accept their words,
What do they know about an orphan's world,
You're the one I shall always hate,
For bringing me to life without a soul concerned.

Sure, you suffered nine months in pain,
But for me, it is a lifetime of agony,
Why did you never even look back?
Was there nothing you could say to me?

Didn't you wish to hold me hand,
And guide me through the hard rubs of life,
And if you didn't care enough to be at my side,
Why didn't you just let me die?

I shall never pursue to seek you,
I shall never search for your story,
For I don't have anything to do with you anymore,
All I have of you now - is me.
