THANK YOU

I wish that I could tell you

what you mean to me.

You're worth more than the blue skies

and more than the deep sea.

I wish that I could tell you

what an impact you've made,

and how the world's a better place

because of the life you saved.

She was but a child

who wondered in the dark;

A place for an unseeing driver

to leave a bloody mark.

But you were there to save her,

and give her another try,

to live a life of innocence.

In return you had to die.

Here I sit alone now.

By a marble grave,

which depicts the words:

"One life he did lose, but one life he did save."
