I MISS YOU

I miss the way you'd laugh at me

when I made a stupid joke.

I miss the feeling of being loved

that within me you awoke.

I miss the way you'd look at me

and tell me everything's okay;

and I miss the comfort and honesty you offered

when I was having a bad day.

I used to think a friendship

was something set in stone.

You changed my way of thinking,

you made me feel alone.

I hope that you are happy

in everything you do.

I wish nothing but the best

forever, for you.

Although I have been hurt

you I'll always love

and maybe someday soon

I can rise above

all that I am feeling

and learn to let it go.

Questions I've accepted, with

answers I'll never know.

For now I bid thee well

and wish upon a star

that happiness does find you

wherever you are.
