GETTING INTO COLLEGE

Oh my lord oh my god!!
I have to do all this and what not??
Prayers have finished..
Anxiety is over
Results are out
Some have scored a century
While others have been bowled out
One innings in life's game is over
The deciding one begins now
From immature children coming out of school
We mature as young adults stepping into whirlpool
The run making starts
The college rush commences
Running from here to there
Hoping to get settled somewhere
Some seem hopeful having low marks
Trying through sports and categories apart
Filing forms of one college and running to the another
Few gifted ones just fill in 1 or 2 & for the rest
don't bother
Deadlines have to be met
Our all things are set
Forms, photographs attested certificates
In return we get an admission ticket
Dates for entrance exam
Sports practices and books to cram
Finally the struggle is over
The lists are out
Fate of people has been decided
Some are enjoying while others scream and shout
Very few have gotten what they wanted
Majority is sad for their fate has been taunted
All are settled somewhere
Everyone scattered here n there
Struggle to reach the college
This is where life's first lesson is sought
Many times things that are wanted are not what you've
got
Oh my lord oh my God!
I'm finally into a college!!!
