EARTH'S
AUTUMN
An ever-changing tree stood quiet and high,
It was looking up at the sky.
As the seasons progressed,
Changes in it were made to press.
The first leaves to fall off were of kindness and
need,
In place of it grew hunger and greed.
Next in turn were love and respect,
They were replaced by monetary prospects!
Then money departed with satisfaction,
Poverty is its new creation.
Parting with humble politeness,
IT gave way to immorality and harshness.
The trunk shed the bark of honesty
Untruthfulness is its new cavity.
This my friends, is the earth's autumn,
All its flowers have stopped to blossom.
