The Language Of Silence

Along the sea side where noisy waves ride
On a breezy dusk I took my slow stride
Yonder were two souls man and wife
Of furrowed brows and withered life
Sitting lonely in stony silence
With vacant eyes gazing at the horizon
Their feeble eyes to me turned
The silent language I discerned
Many years have rolled away
Since Cupid on us held sway
And then united in matrimony
Living our happy times in harmony
Offsprings filling our cup of joy
Giving us moments of great rejoice
Many tunes of language we spoke
Through life's journey as we rode
Language of amour and infatuation
Language of love and exileration
And when all those times parted
With our hopes deeply thwarted
Those who in our love were born
Departed  and for ever gone
Leaving us to wend our  way
What  language have we now to say
Save to sink in our hearts grief
In the cold sea wind and the breeze
Their eyes then slid into the misty sky
And I could hear their voice silently cry
