FRIEND
A friend is some one,
who stands by your side
Through thick and thin,
Lends you his shoulder when you are unhappy
Without asking the reason for your unhappiness,
Sad in your sadness
Happy in your happiness
Does not take you for granted,
Nor devalue your views,
Holds you in very high esteem
With a very strong bond
But lets go of you when the bond becomes
Binding instead of pleasure
Does not expect to be treated nicely
Even if you are in a bad mood,
Likes you with all your flaws
Without demeaning you
Or the relation,
Accepts as you are,
And does not wish you
To be his reflection
Laughs with you and not at you,
Gives you the space without spoiling
The beauty of a good and ideal
Friendship.
