AURORAS DANCE IN
IQALUIT
Sparkle glimmer flash and
twinkle
they sway and dance with spectacle
Auroras, splendor of the barren north
as they appear in nomads land.
Kids whistle and clap
For every flash and spark
In Iqaluit, Life's simple leisure
are packed with ample pleasures.
Snow capped mountains and moonlit tides,
Adding to the beat of dancing clouds
People in *parkas gazing with awes
Wonders of the north as we position to watch.
There are stories elders sing
To validate why they come and go
For me, they are bluish green and reddish pink
Rainbows in desolate dark
