Where are you when I call your name?
Why do you cause me so much pain?

I look to you for protection,
but you always go the other direction.

I am so small, and you are so tall.
Don't you even care at all??

I, too, make mistakes,
but how much abuse am I to take?

If I was an adult, would it still be the same?

I try so hard to be good,
doing what I could.
