THE BEAUTY WITHIN
Every human heart longs for beauty.
It’s sought everywhere, far and wide. Beauty! Does it lie in those hazy eyes, Or is it there in the seductive sight? Does it remain dormant in lips as red a s cherry plums? Or can we find it in shapely forms; Enticing the heart and captivating the sense. Is there beauty abundant in the physical form; Of all the pretty men and women breathing in this world? I dare not say so!
True beauty is not that seen by this mortal eye; No, it’s not the external glamour; That makes beauty truly great. But, it is the beauty within, seen not by the eye; But clearly visible to this heart of mine; That makes beauty truly wonderful. Oh! yes, of all the grace and elegance in this world, The nobleness of a human heart; And the love embedded in it, Is all that “beauty” means to me!
