MOUNTAINS - HOW 'N' WHY I CRAVE THEM
I know I viewed them as soon as I
was born
Beautiful, lush, green and some times lashed and torn
How majestically they stand alone
Facing the fury of the skies and land
When I'm away from home and them
That desolate feeling I cannot stem
They call out to me; its time to come
I hear the call and hold me back then none
What is it that touches me so
That unique loveliness intoxicates me I know
I wonder and ponder how they were created
Till date my curiosity has never been sated
You are my roots so always be around
I love you, am drawn to you and forever bound
>From you my patience and strength I draw
Coz you have been in my soul from the moment I saw
Some thing out of the ordinary; something so serene
Your greenery; your slopes and the air so clean
Why shouldn't I love and crave you
You've battled; humans and elements I know I do
You've stood silently, took all the abuse
People trampled over you n did misuse
Your power is your infinite continuity
Today you are in my blood and my only security
