LOVE FOR A DISTANT CHILD

I  sit and gaze at your picture each nite,
wondering if you are alright.
We have come a long way, you and I,
wondering what the world has to offer, but sigh.

Keeping your strength and courage my son,
for in the end, you  really have won!

So pick up those sweet memories of our yesterdays,
Cherishing them, remembering in many ways.

You will alway be in my heart and on mind,
Soothes my soul from within, being so kind.

I am always here, just a call away,
eagerly to listen to what you have to say.

To have met you brought joy to my heart,
and hoping OUR FRIENDSHIP will never part!
