Goodbye! My angel

Days of patience
And nights of prayers
You were a desire
Cherished in our minds forever

You were born
Little fingers and the innocent face
We knew
God blessed us with something precious

Your first call and the first step
And all those firsts you gave us
Lucky were we to have you
And for us to be chosen your parents

Lots of toys and lots of dolls
We got for you to play
You asked innocent questions of yours
Answers of which we could never say

Then your mother decided
To part and leave for the heaven
Leaving you to me
My baby, you were just seven

Since then, I tried
To be also your mother
Cooking, washing, sweeping I did
All for this little sweet daughter

But I guess, I failed
To live up to your expectations
For you too like your mother
Have decided to say goodbye to me

As you wish.
You came as a boon
Couldn't even complete the dreams I dreamt
You are going so soon.

Goodbye my love
May you rest in peace.

ethnic clashes taking place all over the world)
