Lazy weekend over, now
begins the grind
It's Monday morning - and wakeup time.

A long day ahead... a hectic schedule
But first I have to rush to school
To deal with live, explosive bombs.. and not
dead files
Though tiring, it makes teaching really
worthwhile.

School over, I rush.. have a date to keep
Yes, I must get to my doctor before three.
Wading through the traffic, I just cut it fine
Reaching there at the nick of time.

As I enter my doctor's lair
Am greeted with an endearing smile and cool
conditioned air.
"How have you been? How do you feel?
Just don't worry, you'll soon heal
Are you eating your medicines regularly?
So what have been your
thought processes?
Are you sleeping well?
Is there anything new to tell?"
Questions asked, satisfactory answers given
But, yet no reduction in my medication!
An encouraging smile..."You're now walking down
the right street
See you again in two weeks."
As always, I walk out in a better frame of mind
Optimistic, that I'll be cured by the next time.

No time to laze, no time to ponder
Its time to date the next doctor!
Just two lanes away is my physician
With trepidation I now enter his den.

He is well renowned, an expert in his field
But will someone teach him to smile please!!
No words of welcome, he scans my reports
Grimly he looks up and says - "These reports
tell us naught!
"I'm writing some more tests for you
To solve the problem we must get down to the
roots!
Continue with the same medicines
And come back as soon as the reports are in."
I smile, I pay, I say
thank you
And thus ends my date with doctor number two!

The day's not over, I have another date to keep
Jumping into my car I rush to meet doctor number
three.
A long wait, doctor dear doesn't believe in
giving any appointment
Besides, he spends an hour with every patient.
I long to put my feet up, just a small snooze
But you can't do that in the doctor's waiting
room
So, leafing through magazines I pass my time
And await my turn in the long line.
More than an hour later I am ushered inside
Once again to be greeted with a warm smile
"How are you? Do you feel any improvement?
I just open my mouth for him to judge the
condition.
"Your tongue is much better than before
But still will take time to cure.
"I'm sick of medicines.. how long will it take
doctor?"
A sweet smile and.. "well you know I'm not an
astrologer!"
I can't predict the future nor read your
horoscope
You are on the mend, so don't give up hope"

Taking my medicine, I head for home
Wondering how the whole day had flown!
Dating doctors sure can be cumbersome
I'm plain lucky - all three are handsome!

Delhi I criss-crossed.. but I enjoyed the spree
Dating Doctors One, Two And Three!!!
