IN SEARCH OF A NEW DAWN:

At the end of every Dreary dark night,
The blessed earth doth awaits the new day
And welcomes with open arms,
The golden warm rays of the sun.
At the end of the long
Inky blackness of the tunnel
The traveler searches with
Staff strong hold that is hope,
A spark of light
Doth he the traveler await:

When life is but a journey
And the journey but a long
Dark dreary night,
A long tunnel of inky black:
Whence from can I ,a traveler Seek sustenance:
Till the goal is reached
Till the light doth dawn?

For in the murky shadows
Doth appear doubt and despair
No tongue can pronounce and
The fears within doth rage.
For life is naught but
A long dreary dark night
A long tunnel of inky black
Where the starless sky
Doth over me broods.

As I walk amidst pathless grounds,
Awaiting the new dawn
The light to lift the darkness
And change bright the inky darkness around.
To let the light of love shine away
The hatred in my heart.
To let the light of knowledge
Dispel the darkness
Of ignorance and fear:

That light which is but the only goal
Of every traveler who doth journey
In this the dark night,
Through the long dark tunnel of life
Let that light be bestowed , o' father
On me that traveler;
For no more can I walk
In this darkness of despair.
My heart doth lose its hope and faith:
My mind its clarity my hands are numb,
And my feet are weak.

No more my father can I go on
Let this journey end here and now ,
or let me find that light I search:
put an end to this my search
o'lord show me the light
show me a new dawn.
