Backdrop of truth

If it were so true for a person to leave a faith
    The whole world would be an individual faith;
Ask the question to everyone and you would know
    What they feel and believe is not what they will show.

Pretence is not limited to me, neither is cowardice
    Then why am I always exposed to this cruel despise;
I never wanted to break a heart for which I care
    Love, no, hatred is only that comes in my share.

I am bound to two people only in my world of fear
    And I know that not everyone shall, my nature, bear;
I always wanted the love of my life near my heart
    Circumstances enslaved 'me and my love' from the start.

Unwanted, that is what I thought of myself everywhere
      And you borrowed that word from my loyal share;
You thought so wrong, isn't it an insult to our relation
      But I am to blame; I am the cause for this frustration.

You came now and thought that I am passing my day
    How do I tell you that this isn't so and that is all I can say;
Proofs are a plenty for your closed eyes to see
    Blessed be the soul, your eternal friend to be.
