'To Err is Human, to Forgive is Divine'

Love is all about,
Trust I believe.
Love is all about,
Forgiving I feel.

But, 'To Err is Human'
I committed humanity.
I broke your trust,
I challenged My Love's Sanctity.

But, 'To Forgive is Divine'
After all, I am yours, you are mine.
Please be Divine, forgive me this time
Or else, punish me cruelly, for this crime.

Your silence is killing
And words hurt me more.
When you look at me with love,
Beneath me there is no floor.

An year of repentance
I believe is not enough
After all You are a Man
Your heart a little tough

But I am a Woman
With patience infinite
To endure injuries and tortures
Up to any height

Clouded with tears
My shameful eyes
Accept all disgrace
I was wrong I realise

Now, put a halt to imagination
What you think is not true
Forgive me once and for all
I have only loved you.

Don't ever say
The trust has died
Don't reiterate
The faith has flied
Because I still have
hope deep inside that
'You will forgive me, for
The first time I lied'
