THE
TERRORIST

An innocent boy taken away from his family and loved
ones
Pushed into the pit of darkness where violence lived its way
He remembers the time when happiness was in the air
Those happy moments of swinging and playing in trees
Beautiful landscapes ,rivers clean and crystal deep
Life which was beautiful with desires and dreams.
He sees that quiet town which was once full of life
When people sang and danced in those wonderful times.
Life now seems to stand still with terror everywhere
Cries of his loved ones ,the pain and torture felt by him everyday
He remembers the land that was green and free from misery
It now looks like a barren desert with no life indeed.
He tries not to remember that unfortunate day
A day which changed his life that was happy and gay
He left the town with a little toy in his hand ,
A toy that gave him comfort in lonliness and reminded him of his land
It was his joy ,the only childhood friend of his
miserable life
A toy that became the weapon of killing throughout his life.
He stand with a gun waiting for the kill
Eyes just like stone that show no emotion or fear
He stands still looking at his prey with no sympathy within
He has to kill him for he was the one who brought him this faith
He is taught to kill and not to live ,his life is
nothing but a cloak of death
A boy who once wanted to live in a beautiful dream
A dream to be someone his family would have been proud to see
He now stands firmly in his robe of militancy
Killing anyone at sight , showing no mercy
He looks at his gun and all the bombs he learned to create
"Destroy them, kill them all" are the only words he now hears
His nights are spent with the nightmares of his hunts and fears
The voices haunt him night by night pushing him more into this dreadful
life.
A boy who was innocent , so full of love and dreams
Lives in a pit of darkness with nothing seen beneath
He is the terror ,a devil like those who killed his
own family.
He is now the TERRORIST ,a name gifted to him by his own country....
*this poem is dedicated to all those innocent children who lost their
childhood to militancy and terrorism
