I Am Me...

I am Me

And that's all that I want to be...

I am me... and this life is mine

So I'll decide what to do with my time.

I am me... and so are my thoughts

So what if I don't fit into any slot.

I am me... and so are my fantasies and dreams

I love them.. however bizarre they may seem.

I am me.. and so are my aspirations and hopes

They can't be chained down even with iron ropes.

I am me... and so are my fears

I'll overcome them in the coming years.

I am me.. and I'm proud of my triumphs and successes

Even small achievements fill me with happiness.

I am me... and I own my failures and mistakes

Eternal teachers.. guiding me which path to now take.

I am me... and so are my talents and ambitions
To hone, chisel and nurture them - this life's mission.

I am me first... then a grand-mom, mom and wife

So I decide what to do with my life.

I am me.. and I can see, hear, say, think and do

To survive and thrive I have all the tools.

I am me... and this life is mine

So I'll love myself and have a good time.
