Raindrops on a Silent Lake

    Like the Raindrops on a silent lake

           You fall and let my mind to shake

I really know not what to do

           when I somehow think of stopping you

Like the lightning in the silent sky

           You strike me with your violent eye

I know not where to run and hide

           when you burn my soul inside

You come and vanish very soon

           Like a dream I have in the afternoon

I wish to have you somehow caught

          forever, deep inside my thought

In my life that was calm

       You came in like the mighty storm

and when you touch my sails and wink

     I know not whether to swim or sink

When I lived like a candle, pure and white

    You came and burnt me through the night

I do really wonder why?

   You love to see me slowly die
