WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA… We, the people of this pretty land Ought to have our heads held high. Do you ask me why, my friend? The reason is there for everyone to see. To a holy land we do belong, Where diversity is seen in varied hues. The only land upon this earth, Where different religions blend in peace. India is that common abode, my friend, Where assorted castes and sects in harmony exist. Let this land have multiple tongues, Yet, it speaks in one tone. What if this place houses different ethnic cultures and rites? Yet, it owns but one rich heritage. Let there be difference in clime, Between those snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas And the water-bounded weather of the south. Yet the season of love and fraternity reins across this country.
