Nature Walk

*
I walked   across the dried grass
Where to , I did  not know .
I took   one step after the other
Just to  see yonder brooks , to see its flow .
*

Some say if you want to see nature at its best
Go  where you can feel the wind and be its guest .
For that I  walked   across  the lawn
Just to  feel its caress ;  a total rest .
*
What was  it  that leapt   away from my feet
A frog , an  insect or a beetle ?
I stooped   to see where that little fellow go
Bother ! its sting might be fatal  !
*
My saunter took   me to a shady tree.
There I stood   to see the flying birds at play .
Under a tree , the place I liked  to be , Away
from all the hustle and bustle of a hectic  day.

*
So I trampled   on uncaringly  for the dead leaves.
They'd  grow again perhaps next rainy days .
Nature gives us  this hope and thrill
Peace to your  heart , again and again , it says .
