HYPOCRISY

Behold the knight in the Shining Armour;
Out to save life with pious fervour.
He fights for causes just and bold
Here is the man with the heart of gold!
Alas! Strange are the ways of heart.
Today it cottons to the cuddly cat.
Tomorrow
it craves skin of that very pet.
Blessed with memory short and warped.
Adorned in shiny leather and fur
The knight rants and flashes his sword,
To protest cruelty as loud as ever.
.
And people admire- he is so sensitive.
The earth is safe- so long such people live
Don't be a spoilsport and point out
That he wears sealskin and he eats trout.
After all- he is ruled by heart.
And if heart is seized by sudden impulses,
The poor soul is not to be blamed for indulgence.
He is fighting for a mighty cause.
Killing a few does not count.
And if he happens to like your chick,
Don't ever grumble but appease him quick.
Remember he is the hope of the world.
A nobleman must be pampered.
