Heavenly walk

Gazing at the galaxy of stars so far away
wishing if somehow I can get there close by,
they shine, they twinkle so clear and bright
on a moonless night.
millions of them scattered all over the sky
so colourful and gay, many are bold,
but some are shy,
if only I could hold them in my hand
emitting so many different shades of
yellow, blue, green and red.
Hoping one day to walk
over this carpet of sky
with moon to accompany me by,
drifting over them feeling
happy and content,
wishing this heavenly divine
walk would never end.
