FORBIDDEN

 

In the depths of my silent thought

           the great pain of love is hidden

I don’t know why in my heart?

          the joy of love forbidden

 

To silence I slowly speak

      and wither in my lonely mind

for true love is what I seek

       and what I never find

 

will sadness and great sorrows

           forever  be my team?

though I wait for a thousand morrows

     will  joy be just my dream.....

 

Lord!

take me back again

       into the gardens of the Eden

for all I have is pain

       the pain of love forbidden
