DARK EYES

Special Treasures
Wait in caverns
Of trust only opened
After time.

Years of rusting locks
Lost keys of hope
Hidden away
Secret, worn dark wood chests

With heavy, rough shorn clasps
Broken dreams
Cobb webs of losses
Slowing progress

Barring my way
Hindering my walk
When I open them?
Who will find the keys?
