Love is true

I have told you before, that my love is true,
I don't say it often, for I don't want it to be
common,
Look into my heart, and see for yourself
What I have for you, is all that I have.

I want you to be you, your real self,
And am willing to share the wear and tear,
For I do not have to fear, my love for you is true.
But, why do you forever suspect my love for you.

I agree, at times I am rude, and look heartless,
But, it is not because my love is any less.
It is just that life is not so easy of late,
For me to wear a bright and happy face.

I wish I could keep this rude and ugly face of mine,
To the cruel world outside, but my love,
There is no one out there, to accept,
And still love this ugly person in me.

I plead to you; please don't look at me that way.
For if you too do, what the others,
Who mean nothing to me do, then
My own heart will tease me for my love for you.
