THE SUNSET DEVINE

Above the majestic sea, on the horizon’s soil,

There was a serene demise,

That of the boiling ball of boil,

That promised to rise again after toil.

It exuded an intimate sense of peace,

Mirroring the feelings of its residents,

Above this superficial world of grief,

As if the moment would just freeze.

It slowly crept down to the horizon,

Presenting a calm persona,

Until it finally sunk down,

Over its opulent crown.

But although it fell with a radiant spark,

Making absolutely no sound,

It formed a panoramic arc,

To slumber till dawn, it left an eternal mark.

Heart to heart with the Gods it felt, totally forlorn,

A blissful experience indeed,

But my heart said all along,

O come, o come, o come back my Sun.
