One month and more after - Wails
________________________________

The mother wails. Remembers.
She had smiled so much that day
The drive from where he lived to where he worked
"Thats where i work" he pointed out
In the far distance so many buildings
"Baytaa these old eyes cant see so far"
"We must get you new spectacles" he said
She was so proud of her son
She had smiled with love
She had smiled with pride.
He had slowed down, exchanged
Warm greetings with the Angraiz family
Tentatively she lifted her hands, whispered Namastay
Nodded a slight bow down of her head
Beamed them a broad almost embarrassed smile
"They go to Church on Sundays" he explained
"Isnt there a Mandir around" she asked
"Where i work is my Mandir" he said
The mother wails. Remembers.
"Dont drive so fast" she admonished him
"Arrey will be fined for driving slow" he said
She was fearful but she had smiled
The Mother wails. Remembers.
Later he stopped the car
Bent over the steering
Peered through the windscreen
She followed suit
"Thats where i work" he said, and
She could see it clearly
Framed between shadowed dwarfed structures
The soaring building where her son worked
Her spirits soared with her smiles
She ran a hand lightly down the back of his head
"May Bhagwaan always keep you happy"
He made her count the floors down from the top
She giggled like a schoolgirl as she tried to
She was so happy that day
The Mother wails. Remembers.
'May Bhagwaan give Shanti to his Aatmaa'
They mutter
"Am I not destined to see even his dead face?"
(there will be time enough to pray for his soul)
