I CANNOT CRY FOR PEACE

I cannot cry for peace

When you cry for war

I cannot tell the planes to stop

I hope the bombs continue to drop

You ruined my world

In an unspeakable way

You took lives on a beautiful day

You left destruction and called it your way

And it's touched my life

For I see your hate in others' eyes

And I see them march

To the despair of all faiths

Tell me, is there daylight

In your unspeakable soul?

For that matter, do you have one?

And if you do,  what courses in your veins?

Is it blood, or the darkness of night?

That throbs in every heartbeat

As hate shrouds your body

And evil thrills your mind.
