PORTRAITS ON WATER

Rippling silver,
It flows,
With liquid silence,
Of the water,
Fluid metal,
On a solid,
Sheet of glass.

Reflections above,
The dipping trees,
Their branches,
Touching,
Leaves, floating,
The wetness, warm,
Shiny with want.

The surface,
Waits, still,
Not moving,
Standing, anticipating,
The moment,
Feeling the pull,
Between the elements.

The heaven above,
The earth below,
Eternal lovers,
The silver,
And its likeness,
Mirrored moistness,
In motionless dance.

The water runs,
Deep,
Within its core,
Nestles the orb,
Its image, perfection,
Slowly spreading,
Through imagination.
