THE AMALTAASH
Its not everyday that I take
a walk down memory lane Today the leaves under my feet don't seem to complain in pain... Last night it rained so they feel loved today they are trampled upon and shoved The leaves snuggle close to each other and tell the breeze to go wherever. As the sun raises the curtain of light I walk on mesmerized at a beautiful sight On the undulating landscape it looms a breathtaking Amaltaash in full bloom! Washed by last nights heavy downpour the magnificicient Amaltaash stands apart in its full brilliance to welcome a new dawn silence broken by an occasional birdsong. Resplendent in the glory of the colour yellow others recede into the oblivion - mellow sunny flowers hang delicately like grapes how unlike any other flower their shape! Reflecting the sun they sway softly in the wind for a moment the harsh fiery desert sings I look on with joy - overwhelmed and mesmerized wonder how can such beauty be memorized If you haven't seen an Amaltaash in full bloom You know its like missing the breathtaking moon It arranges this spectacular show every summer so come and see for yourself when its warmer Its not everyday that I take a walk down memory lane Today the leaves under my feet don't seem to complain in pain.
