NIGHT AGAIN

Again the darkness arrives
Am I afraid to close my eyes?
Staring into the night
Afraid of nightmares
Alone again
What can I do but stare?

Another night of crying
Another night of hiding
A cold stare
I can't cry another tear
An empty space
An endless wait
Darkness I face
Will it ever end?
