Like Tears For Rain

Rain flows down my face,
For no reason at all,
Cloud bursts from my eyes,
The rain it silently falls.

Hot and scalding water,
Makes furrows with its flow,
What does it hope to moisten?
Where will it finally go?

The land lies frozen,
The green is faded past,
Can these drops of water,
In arid barrenness last?

Yet they flow and flow,
There seems no end to rain,
Only time the keeper holds,
The end to all this pain.
