You smiled at me, I thought you cared You talked to me, I thought you wanted to You laughed with me and I was happy You chided me and I withdrew
You talked of others, I thought it was sharing You talked of love, I thought you meant us You talked of loss, I cried with you You talked of words and I listened in awe
You talked of feelings, mine grew unspoken You talked of fears, I despaired too You talked of weaknesses, I hid my own You talked of strength and I tried to find it
Deep inside me, I'm breaking the rules Don't want to lose what was never even mine Don't want to see it, but there it is Yes, I'm in love and Yes, I'm a fool!!!!
