Coming Back These days when I’m by myself When I am all alone As much as I try not to, I Remember when you were gone …. ‘Twas only just the other day When you had dropped the bomb Left behind a bewildered me Consigned to a deep, dark tomb. With every inhalation My insides burnt in flame And every time I breathed out My lungs whispered your name …. I dared not look ahead, There was nothing to see When solace I, sought from the past It seemed cruelly empty ! Since then you have come back my love, Drawn by my agony You are with me and yet I ask “Did you come back for me ?” I know of your virtual needs, “Love is not enough” you say And since love is all I have, I wonder – “Have you come to stay ?” ~KM~
