In the fading lights
and
 the lengthening shadows
I have
often seen
images.................


  Images
Of you passing me by
turning around
smiling at me
and before I could respond
the breeze blowing off your "Dupatta"
and covering your face

Images
of your eyes
as they would light up
on seeing me
after a long time
the sadness
imprinted by the eyelashes
disappearing
as I smile at you
just like fluffy clouds
being blown away
by
the silent evening breeze.
