TO ROSES AND CARNATIONS
Oh!
how much beauty behold a bunch of roses and carnations, Each
petal bestowing gratuitously peace and elation Suffusing
love with promises of immortal camaraderie Entrapping
life, soul, and heart with sulphonal's trickery, Sharing
all that is so joyous ,so loving ,so peaceful Sponging
the tears and all that is so frightening, so hateful, so painful, Three
roses and three carnations metamorphosising the mere entity of life, Their
gratifying essence filling the dark and deep
recesses of heart, soul, and life, The
sweet and sprightly fragrance attributing new significance to life, Unfolding love light and gaiety in its impetuous stride Immortelle
petals pledging undying love and mirth, Touching life with bliss and a yearning for another birth. ~Sonali S C~ The Author has copyright © of the poems
