PASSIONS CRIME
Look at me. I am not disgraced,
I am not guilty of any shame,
If loving you is an offense,
Judge me, I am to blame.
Write not in words of mystery,
And ask me to decipher the code,
The cross I bear, is weight enough,
Pray, do not add to my load.
Ask not me to tell you,
How you can make me feel,
For you know it very well,
That my lips, you have sealed.
You stole into this heart one day,
Maybe it was my fault,
The very same words you used,
No more, I beg you halt.
You took with it my smile,
I am not the person same,
My laughter and my happiness,
Now what more there remains?
Let me forget in passing time,
Do not this wound disturb,
Talk not to me in word or verse,
For I must my heart preserve.
