ONE MORE YEAR

Another year passes by
Looking for you
An endless wait
Truly alone
Life a dull prose
Empty and aching
The dark nights keep me waking
A futile flight into the past
Fleeting memories are back
Making the brain barren
The inspiration barren
The growing nostalgia
Reminding me of the scars
The threat of dawn paling the stars
Reminding me of another day
Another year of waiting...

When you were there
Life was a restless surge
A moment in a lifetime
Mesmerising me
But now that you are no more
My poetry, a self expression
Of the tortuous effort to explain
>The truths that cannot be stated
Just come and read my eyes
Dead of expression
With tears of desperation
Come, end the endless wait
Like a tide surging across
Don't leave me at the mercy of the yearly storm
Come fill the emptiness and teach me
The poignant lessons of life
Stay with me, besides me
Motionless like a rock.
