ONE DAY The soft rays of the Sunday sun fall upon my face I stir awake, so lazily, still in a sleepy daze In the silence of the morn I hear you breathing deep Open my eyes and smile at you, curled up and fast asleep.
I watch your breasts rise and fall as you turn on your back Tousled hair, face serene, lips parted just a crack I reach out to feel your warmth, await the eyelids part For only then, I’ll see those eyes and my day will truly start
It will start with a smile from those lips full, a sparkle in the eye A smile that sends my heart go thump, I feel my lips go dry With a small laugh you snuggle close your face deep in my chest This is the time of the day that I think I like the best.
Tea on the terrace, sharing snippets from the Sunday press Till you say "I’d better go. Shower and change my dress", I’m left alone, newspaper in hand, absently lost in thought Thanking God, for the millionth time, for the woman I have got.
The morning passes, midday comes the weekend’s almost gone ! You have been busy with house-work, I’ve been left alone The help has left, when suddenly, you creep up from behind The suddenness of your touch, your kiss still blows my mind.
You perch yourself on my lap, and smile fondly at me I take your hands, kiss them soft, look up lovingly With a naughty wink you say "Sir, your lunch is served" "Don’t you know" I complain, "which meal I’d have preferred?"
Sitting side by side we eat, sharing the Sunday meal A smile here, a gesture there, a glance, a word, a feel You join me in our bedroom, as you gently sit by me You look so fresh, so pristine pure, I marvel at your beauty.
We make love, we make love twice, tender, with passion And later lying side by side, reflect on the moments gone You are like a new-wed bride, face hidden in my arms Speaking not, just "mmm" and "hmm" to my endearment terms.
It’s early eve, when the spell breaks, and we leave our bed The evening comes, we take a walk, see the sky turn red Just a touch, a murmur soft, a twinkle in your eye Hand in hand we watch the stars lighting up the sky.
Much later in the night, lying hands under my head We’ve had our dinner and you have, long since gone to bed I think about the years we’ve shared, the days we’ve left behind Reflect on the chemistry that binds us – body and mind.
This my love, is what I dream when we are born again The symphony in cyberspace in true-time we’ll attain Maybe it is but just a dream, a fantasy in my heart Maybe it’s a promise that in death we will not part...
