echoes of the past,
weaving merging,
into this reintroduction
a reaffirmation of the rapport
which nothing could negate
as softly you wake me up
into this dream.

Your words the only sound
their sincerity the only echo
reaching deep within me
as inexorably they draw
into a mesmeric spell
yet again...

Of you, the truth of you
and us, the reality of us
I've felt your pain,
the confusion throughout
you're an exceptional person
never let go of this
that hand in my heart
never wavered
the one truth
nothing can negate.

I love your pride,
would never have it otherwise
when you bend down
the defeat is mine
I can feel your dilemma,
the unease inside
I know it hasn't been easy,
I'm glad you tried.

Thank you for these moments
your gift to me
this raging tempest
the silence all around
barriers overcome,
as together we walk
into a new dawn....
