| HOW
LONG?
Clouds
of anguish obstructing hopes of life, A
solitary star emitting heady rays of life, Each
ray charged with a special will to live, Will
to penetrate through the fog and mist, Its
warmth forcing the clouds to depart, To
disengage, disappear and vanquish afar, The
Star so far and yet so near, You
ain't mine, don't belong here, Why
your rays filled my heart with loving cheer, Why
my mind you filled with light so clear, The
clarity with which world presents today, Was
always so humid, so dark with despair, The
heart was always frayed and wounded, The
mind and thoughts were always
sullen, Oh!
tell me the distant soother of frazzled spirits, How
long would you shower your love here, How
long would you quench the parched thirst, How
long would you canopy the whirlwinds , The
scorching heat storms of life, How
long would you be a silent nurturer, Of
stirred and starved emotions, How long???????????? ~Sonali SC~ The Author has copyright © of the poems |
