HEAVEN & HELL
Was
it years of neglect
The
emptiness of the nest
Or
the comfort of his admiring gaze
That
lit upon my aging face
I
found myself falling
Seeking
his embrace
In
the warm of his soul
The
magic of his finger
Searching
for the goal
The
urgency of thighs
Lost
in the explosion of sighs
In
a world of colourful stars
Unfettered
from constricting bars
I
let my soul flee
To
a universe that’s free.
Now
bitter sweet and strange
My
reflection did not change
Wings
feel heavy with guilt
My
feet mired in silt
I
fall from the heaven I know
Sad
despite the glow
Can’t
see the chain
Yet
I feel it bind
My
spirit now lost
Where
do I find
I
long for the magic
Yet
he’s long gone
He
was hungry
So
he came like a storm
Showed
me heaven
Yet
I live in hell
Waiting
and waiting
For
the doorbell.
