On wings of darkness you float
to me
a song of fancy I long to
see
and I ask....
Will you dance with me tonight?
I might not always be
in step
clumsy as hell, anyone can
tell
but I'll never let go your hand
at least not till the band's
playing...
In melodious thoughts I see your
lips
painted red like two fiery tips
and I murmur....
Will you sing with me tonight?
I might not always be in tune
sometimes off-key, anyone
can see
but my voice will never falter
at least not till I'm hungry...
In wicked dreams I call for you
sooner or later as I must do
and I hesitate...
Will you sleep with me
tonight?
I might not always stay awake
sometimes snore, you can be
sure
but I'll never leave your side
at least not till next
morning...
In contented moments I feel
your touch
that heavenly bliss thrills me
so much
and I plead...
Will you marry me tonight?
I might not always bring you
flowers
forget birthdays, despite your nagging ways
but I'll never leave you alone
at least not till I'm gone, not
till I'm dead.
