UNFELT ...

Last night, I felt a touch on me,
On the surface, and yet so deep,
A soft caress I tried to keep,
Languorous slumber, yet no sleep.

Gentle hands, like butterflies,
Touching me at the break of dawn,
Smoothing away the mists of night,
Welcome dreams, now truth be gone.

Brushing across my waking eyes,
The warm touch of fingertips,
Quiet and tender each eyelash counts,
Lips move across my parting lips.

The smell of heat from above,
Breath on breath mingling just,
Sweet fragrance of budding love,
The rising winds of passions gust.

Auburn hair framing ivory lace,
The black eyes now come fully awake,
The mount of rose on a motionless face,
Iridescent hues in my darkening gaze.

The waiting begins again tonight,
My body trembles to receive the touch,
Whisper soft like gossamer wings,
Unfelt, yet wanting, so much...
